Times sure have changed in forty short years! |
|
In 1963, we were 13-year-old freshmen going to a new school named Northwest. Our classmates were the same kids we grew up with and, in most instances, our families knew each other since the 1940’s.
Most of the Class of ’67 were born in 1949, the last year of the decade, and we were in the first wave of what we now call “Baby Boomers.” (click here to hear major events from 1949)
In the area generally bounded by West 16th Street, Tibbs Avenue, West 56th Street and Dandy Trail were a multitude of homes and businesses. Here are some of the icons we knew as teens ….

August 16, 2007– News has leaked from the inner circle of the SNL Indy Group revealing a secret project to build a time machine. This thinly disguised 1960’s Volkswagen encompasses the group’s combined knowledge of physics (moving large masses), internal combustion (fart production) and creative thinking (crazy ideas after the 3-for-1 Happy Hour) into a working time travel machine. The SNL Group leader has said the idea for the venture was borne from their desire to buy gasoline at 1967 prices. He went on to say, “building a time machine seemed to make more sense than drilling our own oil wells.” Upon closer inspection, it was noticed that a mirror image of the machine was mounted to the roof. When questioned about the purpose of this odd configuration, the SNL spokesperson explained…. “if we end up in China, we’ll need to land on our wheels.”
Will this idea float? Leave a message for these geniuses on the NHS Message Board. |

SNL Headquarters Under Surveillance
All the good ideas from the SNL group have been thoroughly researched and tested at their headquarters made to look like a tent in the woods.
24/7 surveillance has revealed that it is actually a real tent in the woods. |
